The quiet architecture of an abaya.
( 01 ) — Philosophy
Hmeirat designs for the way fabric moves at 4 p.m. in October: slow, warm, unbothered. No logos on the sleeve. No louder than you want to be. Just a line so clean it feels like architecture you can walk in, finished with a single thread of gold.

( 02 ) — The Atelier Process
Fabric, chosen by hand.
Every bolt of crepe is draped and dropped from a height of two metres. If it doesn't fall straight, it doesn't leave the room.
Pattern, cut once.
Our patternmaker, Layla Haddad, drafts each silhouette in 1:1 on paper before a single metre of cloth is touched. Eleven fittings, one final cut.
Seams, invisible.
French seams inside, hand-rolled hems outside, and a line of 24-carat gold thread at the cuff. A single abaya takes 31 hours of needlework.
Finish, numbered.
Each piece is steamed, wrapped in unbleached cotton and numbered on the inside placket. Batches never exceed forty.

Everything you'd ask us at the fitting.
Sizes run 50 to 60 in length, in even numbers. Our models are 172 cm and wear a 56. Between sizes? Take the shorter length — hems are cut generous.

Crepe and nida: cool hand-wash or dry-clean. Silk organza and gold-thread pieces: dry-clean only. Steam, never iron directly. Store hung, in the cotton sleeve we send.
Thirty days to return anything unworn. First hem adjustment is on us — send it back and we will re-cut it in the atelier within a week.
